Happy Tofurkey Day!

My absolute favorite food holiday ever. Thanksgiving. I love the smells in the house, the warm feelings that are felt, and especially the family I can share this holiday with. I hope everyone else is as fortunate to have a loving family like I am. Now, let's get on to the food photos!

Delicious tofurkey, complete with a peach and rosemary glaze, and olive oil basted pearl onions, carrots, and potatoes.

The beautiful, formal place setting. So cozy...

An exquisate sweet potato dish blended with brown sugar, pecans, and bourbon.

What is Thanksgiving without the delicious Pecan Pie, complete with a gooey chocolate drizzle.

A new spin, on the traditional green bean casserole. Just add red peppers, onions, a homemade roulade, and "bacon" salad toppers. Viola!

The holidays are complete with a wonderful intermixing of brown sugar, "buttery" taste, and drizzled chocolate, over chocolate chex mix.

Happy Belated Halloween!

I know this post is a little out of season now...
according to the date anyway. But it was my 21st birthday and I celebrated the big day with
many delicious treats and tricks.

These are chocolate brain cupcakes, complete with vanilla brain matter.

I made more chocolate cupcakes, with a white fondant ghost on top.

How could you have a Halloween celebration without candy apples and carmel apples?

My personal fave, cheesecake. It's always better when it's vegan and topped off with a spider web.

A perfect way to end the evening...peanut and pumpkin brittle.
Happy Late Halloween!

Vegan Virginity.

This is my offical first blog post, ever! Shocking, I know. I want this blog to incorporate my love of all vegan baked goods. I cannot get enough. I could care less if I ever eat them, but I love seeing people fall in love with my food. I love the smiles that pass through lips and eyes that glisten when they view my baked goodies.

Today my friends had a pool side bbq and of course I brought, what else, CUPCAKES! Everyone seemed to love them, which in my opinion is always a great thing. I love making beautiful, appealing food that people won't shy away from when they hear the word, "vegan." I am slowly converting non-vegans to believers of the power that compassionate food brings about.
I hope you all throughly enjoy my blog and will come to my vegan bakery that I plan to open sometime in the spring/summer of 2009 in Denver, Colorado.
